Some critics have called them Prog but some might disagree here and say they're just an alternative/indie (or emo-pop ugh)band with some prog elements.

Hmm, based on these samples I don't think so. They sound a bit like Muse or like Pure Reason Revolution (when they went synth-pop), but less progressive.
