i dont know who to PM about it, and im not sure if this is the right place to post this. it got locked sometime after i got off my computer. i know there was some off-color remarks made, and i dont know why the thread went in the wrong direction, but why was it locked? and not have certain members suspended or something? Just curious, not mad.

Agree - you knew when you chose that title that it basically inviting Walter to start spouting his usual nonsense. That it got out of hand isn't your fault of course, but it's a tad disingenuous to wonder why your perfectly innocent thread went all pear-shaped.

Walter is our old forum moggy. He sits there on a pillow on an old worn out chair in a corner of the room while he is observing the world with a great deal of cynicism and hatred. If a newbie who thinks Walter is a friendly cat tries to stroke him, Walter hits out with one of his frontal paws with sharpened claws. Then he stares at the world again with even greater hatred while the offender is getting his hand bandaged and the blood stains is being removed from the furniture. That's our beloved Walter, our forum moggy.

Obviously not, but that is half the fun of his inane contributions. I'll give you an example. The other day, someone had a dig at him that he wouldn't be listening to the new VDGG album, given that it was recorded in 2011, not pre 1989. Walter responded by saying that was nonsense - as a pre 1989 band, they were flying the flag for decent music. Of course, Walter completely ignored the fact that the recording techniques utilised by the band (i.e. hated digital technology) is just the same as all those nasty, flea ridden, "modern" bands. Inane stupidity and prejudice always have got on my t**s, and Walter is the prime exemplar on the site. Oh, and I have ignored my promise to ignore him twice today  Time to go back to my therapist, methinks------------- Enhance your life. He knows far too well I will attach him on sight, scratch his nose, then bite legs quite badly, scratch his face again and then chase him up the nearest telegraph pole where he will spend the next two days. I am the top cat in this street. (a sure sign of insanity is when a person talks about himself as a cat in third person. Nurse !!) |
