I always have thought that Styx and Supertramp have a similar sound, they both sound prog, but also have a bit of pop melody to their songs, so who do you think is better?

STYX by far, the started as Prog and evolved to some sort of mainstream Prog but keeping the quality..At least until Babe (Don't say Cornerstone, because Lights and Boat on a River are outstanding). Iván. -------------

Ack. I had a huge, detailed post written up for this thread, and my machine crashed. In short, I have always loved Styx and will always love Styx. Admittedly a rather unpopular position, but any band that could record The Serpent is Rising, Queen of Spades, Snowblind, and Don't Sit Down on the Plexiglass Toilet has my vote. Still trying to love Supertramp. Supertramp and Crime of The Century trumps Styx and The Grand Illusion any day. I couldn't stand Styx in the 70s and I see little reason to change my opinion now.
