Houston 1975 for me! Because that version is pretty like the film version what I love much more than original 1969 album version , and also more than a number of 1969-70 live versions of that groundbreaking  classic The Who song Smile

Houston for me too. Also, the studio version is cool and different.

And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

Why is it "groundbreaking"?

Beacuse it is one of the best tracks from an innovative album. Also, with those great Townshend' riffs, Daltrey vocals, Moon' drums and Entwistle' thunder-like bass, "I'm Free" without a doubt was  / and still, but as "THE TWO" /  one of The Who' trigger songs live......As I said above, this is  groundbreaking THE WHO classic song. So it also means that for somebody who don't like The Who music, of course this song  is nothing.
