Here is the setlist from last night concert of YES:

Siberian Khatru
I've Seen All Good People
Tempus Fugit
Astral Traveller (Drum Solo)
Perpetual Change
And You And I
The Clap
Owner Of A Lonely Heart
Machine Messiah
Heart Of The Sunrise
Roundabout

Several songs missing, but Astral Traveller was a very good surprise, besides the drum solo was pretty amazing. Neat sound, a little slow compared to old gigs (obviously), but all in all, it was an amazing concert and an honour to see them playing live...

By the way, Chris Squire is amazing and Steve Howe is one of the greatest ever! Clap

If only you had got also Close to the Edge in that concert, it would have been awsome (I think the concert I attended last year was something like the list you gave, plus CttE). Now, whatever did you think about Benoit David?

I think his voice was pretty good, of course you can't compare it with Jon's, but it worked for me. The thing that I didn't like is that he spins around all the time, like a ballerina...

By the way, I just read that they were going to play Starship to finish the concert, but because of the rain they had to finish it right there with Roundabout... What a shame, one of my favourites...Cry

I'm interested in hearing what will Benoit sound in the next Yes album, where the songs are originally sung by him and he doesn't have to adapt to the way Anderson sung before. I'm hoping we'll hear him realizing his full potential.

I just arrived from the show Yes gave here in Buenos Aires. Mind blowing to say the least. I couldn't be happier. The set list was exactly the same as yours, and yes, here they did Starship Trooper as encore.

It was a fantastic show (my first Yes concert). Steve played Mood for a day + some solo stuff instead of The Clap.

Yesterday I bought tickets for the Gran Rex show Smile.

It was an amazing concert! Steve Howe is as great as ever (even better I may say... but that's probably seeing him live for the first time), Squire is also in shape (bass-wise...), Alan White is a bit rusty but still an excellent drummer, Oliver Wakeman is an excellent keyboardist but he didn't show his potential to the fullest (his role was quite diminished) and Benoit is no Jon Anderson but hits every single note precisely (even the really high ones... and without effort!) and his voice has an interesting timbre (good thing is that he doesn't seem to be trying to be Jon.... they just have very similar voices).

My favorite moments were: Siberian Khatru, I've Seen All Good People, Astral Traveller, And You And I, Steve's Solo, Heart of the Sunrise and Machine Messiah was out of this world!

Steve stole the show completely!

Complaints? They should have given Oliver more room to show his talents! + I obviously missed Jon (especially on I've Seen All Good People) but Benoit gets lots of undeserved hate....

I went to a Yes show some days ago, and though Squire and White are still very good and Howe is always awesome, it sounded like Benoit was always 5 hz under :D it was very disappointing, but he sang well on Fly From Here, and Heart of the Sunrise and And You And I (and don't forget Roundabout) were just too good to be obscured by his voice.

LOL

Thank you for that observation!  I've only seen Benoit on YouTube clips, and that trait annoys the hell out of me as well!

Thanks for the post, I'm glad you enjoyed the show!
