Yes Tour 2005 - Sort Of

Yes is always full of surprises, and 2005 brings new ones. Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman are off on solo adventures, preventing an official Yes tour.

So, this summer and fall, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White and Geoff Downes will be touring the USA and Europe, 4/5ths of the line-up that made the Drama album.

They'll be performing as part of three different acts - Syn, Steve Howe solo, and White - then performing Yes music together. The name of the tour? More Drama, of course.

For updates, check http://www.yesworld.com - www.yesworld.com

Wow, I think I would almost rather see this than Yes proper. (I am not a Wakeman fan) Could be a great night of music.

Further, official dates have been released.

This is AWESOME! I have to go see them. I still want to see a full on Yes show with Wakeman and Anderson but I'm not gonna miss this. I actually like Drama as an album and I'm really intresed in the SYN.

Drama is a great album, definitely check out the Syn. Interesting stuff, got the original Syn CD's last year through Yesworld, had some songs on that that I really really liked. Looked forward to this tour, can't wait to see this show.

I'm still very sad about Rick's hasty desision to retire.  Since I've been listening to him, he's never come to Canada, solo.  Yes only ever goes to Toronto, and I live on the other side of the country.  Some people don't realize, but Canada's bloody huge.  And the population is distributed mainly on the side of the country that I'm not on.  Looks like I've missed my chance to see Rick now.

I'm thinking that this tour will probably suck anyhow.  Who's going to do lead vocals?  If they had Trevor Horn (can he still sing?) it might be better.

Actually Yes visits Mexico quite a bit, they were there in 2004.

Actually Rick hasn't retired yet, and Yes often plays Western Canada, like Vancouver.
