Question: how are we supposed too add album splits which feature two bands that are both on PA? From what I know only one entry must be made for any album on PA.

That's when half of the album contains music from a band and the other half contains music from another band.

Here's an example of an album split by one PA band and one non-PA band:

../album.asp?id=21218">
3.00 | 2 ratings
../album.asp?id=21218 - Krobak/Somnolent split
2009

The gist of that thread should be published somewhere for everyone.

It isn't.....but it should be is what I mean.

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1093 -

Symphonic Prog

but its actually both bands on stage ...

Add it it to the artist whose name titled first, for example:
Karmakanic / Agents --> to Karmakanic discography;
Agents / Karmakanic --> to Agents

@harmonium.ro : you should change the title of this thread to "Split-albums" (or any other split format: split-singles, split-EP, split-cassettes).

Some time ago I discussed with Easy Livin the idea of, as I called them, shared albums, i.e. albums like, for example, HENSLEY - WETTON "One Way Or Another" should be displayed in both discographies, reviews and ratings should be shown on both artists' pages too.

Result of our discussion:
1. such albums are relatively rare, but it's not so easy to implement the feature;
2. new problems can appear (the person who added the album forgot to "share" it, rating system etc);
3. the feature does not prevent us of probable duplications.

Thus it seems we can't help second band now. Smile
