Very strong arsenal of bloody good openers! Difficult choice. I´m expecting a win of song from Ozzy-era and curious for results of newer BS albums...

It's got to be Black Sabbath from the debut. A real statement of intent to kick off their career!

I have heard only three of them, so I won't vote.
Wheels of Confusion is my favourite of these.

I find it astonishing that no one has yet voted for the epic "Wheels of Confusion."  It's just my favorite Sabbath song, hands down.

Another poll of mine "The most Black Sabbath Prog Song" prefered the song War Pigs although I´ve omitted this one. So, therefore I´m surprised that War Pigs has 3 votes already.

As openers, you can't beat Black Sabbath, Hole in the Sky, and Neon Knights. Sweet Leaf is also pretty cool. But I vote for Hole in the Sky because it needs some more votes, and it kicks off my favorite Sabbath album.

We don't want to know anything about how you spent your nights with Mary Jane. Show some decency, there are underage people on this forum! Clown

On a more serious subject, I really can't choose : "Black Sabbath" is historical and striking, "War Pigs" is catchy, groovy and devastating, just as "Hole In The Sky"... "Neon Knights" is a bomb...

So, I voted "Trashed".
Silly me.

I will go to "War Pigs" as a result if it chooses from List.

However, I like melody with the sense of relief of "Wheels Of Confusion".

And, I feel that "The Shining" is a wonderful personally tune. I see the appearance of Cozy Powell that reflects on this promotional film and remember a little deep the deep emotion and having gotten excited.

For me it's gotta be "War Pigs." An absolute stunner that probably could have doubled as a finale. Epic.

LOL Mary Jane and i haven't spent any time together for many years, although she keeps calling.
When i went college one of my teachers who was in his late sixties always warned us about smoking mary jane on school property. I guess he didn't notice all the people smoking it in the cafeteria every day.LOL

I'll go for 'Neon Knights' although 'Hole in the Sky' is a very close second.

Black Sabbath on their debut album is a historical piece. The birth of heavy metal right there, my friends. The pouring rain, the church bells, a clap of thunder, and then THAT extremely heavy tritone banned in the medieval church! It doesn't get much more metal than that. Freaked me out when I first heard it, and it still does! It gets my vote.

Hole In The Sky, War Pigs, Sweet Leaf, and Neon Knights are all cool, too.

If symptom of the universe was an opener i would have definatly voted for that!  Lmao but i voted for Black Sabbath because its just so dark and bleak...its an earful of interesting.

I Love Rush.

The most important impact this band has had on my life is that Gov't Mule opened with War Pigs when I saw them and played a version that was very superior to Sabbath's entire discography in my opinion.

what? uncalled for?

And I am obviously not voting....

Never Say Die

Whenever on Top Of The Pops , Sabbath used to perform live as opposed to the phoney miming by most. I vividly remember them doing this and the floor looked as though it was shaking.
