So, I just made my first album review ever and I'd really like to hear your thoughts on it. How should I improve my reviews in the future and stuff like that Smile

Heres a link to the review: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=281251 - http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=281251

Edit:
Oh, just noticed that there are quite a bit of typos in there. Sorry for that, can't really blame myself cause it's already 1 am and I also have some fever so I might be a little disorientated LOL

Well done!  Clap

My only criticism is that I think you give too much detail on each song, but then again, look who's talking!  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed LOL

Can't wait to read more from you!

Most of the time, especially when we love an album, we tend to put too much information... you have to keep on mind that many people don't even know the band, so try not to be too much descriptive to avoid people get bored, but I see that you write a nice solid review... go on pal... this become an addiction and you will see it soon...

Good work man...

Hey there Tursake. Good review. Not the best, but certainly better than most of mine Tongue

If you want some hints, suggestions how to proceed, there it is: If you want to explain each song so thoroughly, then explain the last one too. OK, you don't like it, but what about to state what exactly you dislike ? If it's OK of course.

Also, I like layout of your review, it's quite well-arranged. But note that many reviewers use 1/3 to 1/2 for information about the band, or about the release, band members, influences, impact etc and the rest of review for itself. Try to include one paragraph (longer) with this kind of info. I know that there is something, but when compared to first track description, it's somehow lost.

But good job nevertheless.

Or you can suffer a little bit and edit it. Generally, people (others) who posted here are quite good reviewers so I hope we helped you.

Good luck, but more than luck, you will need perseverance - I'm reviewing for one year and it still feels good. And believe me, I do review a lot, maybe too much, but that's another topic.
