I don't know if this is the right place to ask this; ı just couldn't think of a better place...

I am desperately seeking Hoelderlin albums released on the WMMS label. All I find at online shops are the crappy/loud/compressed 2007 EMI remasters! If anyone can point me to where I can find the unremastered versions of these albums (new or used) I'll be forever thankful!

Regards to all.

I just got Hoelderlin Traum a month ago. I ordered it in the CD store where I buy most of my staff for 5 + years now (actually I made a 55 album list and gave it to the guy at the store. Traum is one of the first 5 I got). So I have no idea where he got it from but this is the original album so don't loose hope.
Sorry I can't at the moment help you more than that.

So from what store did you buy it? Is it the ZYX release from early 90's? Does that store have the other Hoelderlin realeses released on the wmms label?

You ask hard questions and the CD is not near me so I'll check later on what release is it and inform you. Anyway, this CD were ordered cause I asked them to try to get it so I don't think they have other CD's of the band. The store is in Israel so if you are here tell me and I'll give you the exact information. Somehow I am not sure you are planning to come to Israel just to get some Hoelderlin CDs but if I'm wrong you know what to do.

I wish I knew enough German to read him. Apparently Heidegger thought he was a god or something.

Aren't there any translations in... Atlantian?

The Atlantean language is missing the proper translations for the key words that the Romantics used.

I live just a bit north of where you live. Wink

I'm not planning to go to the music store in Israel. I think ordering the cds would be easier. I'm looking forward to hearing from you about those answers to the hard questions -the catalog number etc...

By the way, I STRONGLY recommend you their 2nd album, and I also recommend you their 3rd and 4th albums, too, only less strongly.

Sorry for the delay. Yes, it is the XYZ music release from 1999. As I told you before it was ordered dew to my request so I guess they have no other Hoelderlin albums and won't have unless I'll ask them too (which I might according to your recommendations and thankyou by the way).

If north of me means Lebanon you actually can swim to the store since it is located not very far from the border with Lebanon on the sea shore (and no, I do not advise you to do so).

Oh, the catalog number - OHR 70016-2

Hope I helped.

Thanks a lot for the info... I live a little bit more to the north of you, and to the north of Lebanon, too, for that matter... I live in Istanbul.

If you could see if the store in question can find a place to order the unremastered releases of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Hoelderlin albums, and -if they can- if you can tell me their source I'd really appreciate it. The unremastered versions had been released by WMMS label.

Regards.

I am not realy helpful I'm afraid. The guy from the store doesn't remember where he ordered it from. All he knows it is somewhere in Europe. What he did was searching the net for stores or labels which has it and he mannaged to find it and ordered it. I guess this is what you should do.
Again, sorry I could not help more than that.
