Do you get asked to be a prog reviewer or do you request and be evaluated for reviewing...

Just wondering as prog reviewing is becoming a part time thing for me on this website and I would not mind becoming an official reviewer one day.

I am a teacher of English at College but I have the time to write a lot of reviews outside of work. It would be a pleasure to be a prog reviewer on my favourite website. I have written about 240 reviews and will write a lot more as I get hold of more music.

thx for a great website anyway.

A. Stop spamming topics for post count, that increases your chance of getting past the 3 star mark. B. You apply. C. Good job! 246 reviews is a lot, and someone like you is probably more than needed!

If you slip me a 50, plus another 50 for my contact, I know someone who might be able to help you out.  That's Euro btw.  Wink

Seriously, PM one of those admin-type dudes.  And ask.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Thank you very much for the replies. If I become a PR I wont have time for spamming - altho its only in the fun section and we all do it.

No, there aren't around 44 topics about Prog in the Prog Polls section, when you could just be patient, and start one every week, like the Battle of the Bands thing going on.

Oh I understand what you are saying believe me. I dont call that spamming, I was genuine in my approach to discovering what people think are the best albums of each year.  It took me a lot of research over a few days before I actually posted any and then I just posted them one after another. No harm done and getting a good response overall.

Cheers for your comments too. From now on I will do as you suggest as I agree that you need to space them out on the polls or it clogs them up a bit. Of course I wont be doing that again as its way too time consuming and I want to focus on actual reviews.

On your next review, your name should be #60 on the 100 most prolific reviewers.

Knocking poor TGM: Orb off the list (again- poor Rob!).  LOL

Well, maybe if his reviews were 9000 words long each... Confused LOL

His review is on the front page, why didn't you just look there? Tongue

PS: Yeah, the 800 polls thing is kinda annoying.
