Greetings proggies!

For a time now, I'm hanging around in other metal-forums talking with other metaler about music and other things around it. But until today I havn't been satisfied with it. I was searching for other proggies cus I wanted to talk about progressive topics. I was stumbling around in the darkened side of the excess-corrupted world of the internet ... then I saw this page, an enlightened, free from consumption and mammon!

To my person: I'm a German Proggy with metal roots. I started with Heavy-Metal (e.g. Gammaray), heard a bit Melodc-M. (Edguy), Humppa-Black-M. (Finntroll) and finally got to the progressive side of rock and metal, thanks to Spock's Beard! I enjoy listening to their music. Then I looked around for other proggressive bands and found Dream Theathre, Devin Townsend, Labyrinth, Vanden Plas/Abydos, The Flower Kings, Derek Sherinian and of course the classical prog-bands Mannfred Mann's Earth Band, A.P.P., and so on... .

Music isn't my only leisure-time activity. I'm also interested about swordsmanship, the nature (yes, I don't eat meat!) and the fullfilling of my fate (if you are the one assigned to help me in my task mail me!).

You perhaps think that I'm a sort of newbie and I must say: You're right! Although I'm interested in the progressive-style I haven't found any other proggies in my surroundings to gain and share my experiences.

Please ignore my grammatical and spelling mistakes! I left school for about 5 years and my English is a bit .. uhm ... rusted!

that much to myself. Now I explore your forum and discussion. Cheers!
