Original:
As HAMMILL disbanded VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR (VDGG in short) after their epic "Pawn Heart", the rest of the group formed this project while still appearing on HAMMILL's solo albums ("Silent Corner And Empty Stage", "In Camera", "Chameleon" etc.). This project was made of Guy Evans, David Jackson, Nic Potter and was sometimes joined by Hugh Banton who also produced the album. The music is completely different than the VDGG fan might expect, being a relaxing form of jazzy-feel rock. As VDGG re-formed in 75, the project was put on hold and it resumed in the eighties as the GENERATOR finally broke down.

As Peter HAMMILL disbanded VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR after their epic album "Pawn Hearts", the rest of the group formed this project while still appearing on HAMMILL's solo albums ("Silent Corner and the Empty Stage", "In Camera", "Chameleon" etc.). This project was comprised of former VDGG members Guy Evans and David Jackson, along with bassist Nic Potter, and were sometimes joined by Hugh Banton (also ex-VDGG) who also produced the album. The music is completely different than what the average VDGG fan might expect, with the music being a relaxing form of jazzy-feel rock. As VDGG re-formed in 75, the project was put on hold until it was resumed in the eighties as VDGG finally broke down.

Thanks, done.

By the way, can anybody help with the band's photo? I've only found a picture og Nic Potter and Guy Evans.

I think two out of four of the band members is enough, although I'm sure contacting a few VDGG fansite managers could help. Excuse me for the ego post, but can I have some credit on the bio?

I had recently found out that the photo on PA for Vol. 1 is actually the French cover, here's a better quality photo.

And if you want the original, here's one:

And a somewhat better band photo:

You're credited in some way: you can see at the band's page  http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1186 - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1186  that last updates were made by Blowin Free.
I think two authors is too much for such a short bio. Wink

Anyway, thanks for your help - the bio is corrected and the cover of the first album replaced with original one.
