Out this week from Retro Fresh is the 1981 debut from progsters Canamii..."Concept' was their sole album ,musically reminiscent of Renaissance and early ELP.Previously only available as a bootleg the album has been remastered by keyboardist Phil Nel and comes complete with liner notes and rare photos. For those who enjoy a little psych with their prog there is 'Astral Daze Volume 2" ..18 gems from the South African underground including tracks by Abstract Truth, Freedom`s Children, The Flames,The Third Eye, John & Philipa Cooper and more. Travel to http://www.freshmusic.co.za - www.freshmusic.co.za for audio samples and information.

Fantastic....and a perfect fit for Symphonic prog. I will recommend to the symph team as soon as I can get digital versions of their album, sadly I only have 8 track/vinyl.

Yes , good band and album, happend to have it in CD format , the issue released in 1992 at Laser's edge. Also this album has another reissue of the vinyl format from GreenTree,Walhalla. The original album is from 1980 not 81 or how I see on other sites 1977. Great female vocals. I can transfor my CD in mp3 and uploaded here if is allowed???? For symh prog is perfect.

Out this month on Retro....McCully Workshop`s 1969 "INC" album and John & Philipa Cooper`s "The Cooperville Times" also released in `69. Just a note on the Canamii album -this Retro reissue is the only legitimate release on cd , all others are unauthorised by the band and label and are therefore bootlegs. The artists do not benefit from sales of these bootlegs.
