This is part of the reason why I am reluctant to write reviews I just spent the better part of an hour writing a review for an album that had only one review and I get this : Your account does not allow you permission to do this.
This is not the first bloody time this has happened. Submitting reviews is like winning the lottery. I`m always wondering if it`s going to go through or not.
What really  ticks me off  is that I put aside that half an hour or so specifically to write the damn thing.

Did you lose the review? Because I hate it when that happens...

I lost the bloody review. I write reviews directly on to the damn stupid computer. People wonder why I don`t trust the damn things. This is just one example why

Happens to me an awfully lot too - for some reason or other the cookie that's supposed to keep me logged in at this site expires, and I have to log in again. Sometimes it'll literally take days in between this happening, othyer times I need to log on again every 30 minutes.

As far as writing reviews go - write em in Notepad - and copy/paste when done. Or, if writing in the page is a real strong habit: Copy paste what you have written in Notepad before hitting the submit button.

^^ Notepad freak.

As I said earlier, copy your work every couple of minutes, and a final time when you are ready to upload.

I managed to write the review. And this is how I`m going to submit reviews from now on. Just give it a rating and then it goes into your reviews list. Then you just go back and edit it into a review. Presto! No wasting time. If it doesn`t go through as a rating you`ve wasted about 30 seconds!

I write in Opera.

writing, writing, then I send it, but because of temporary laggy internet connection, I get error page. So I hit back and there it is, my review again. But when I'm writing review, then close the page and ressurect it with CTRL+Z, the page is here, but text is gone.

I know it's better to write in notepad, but I just don't do it.

I always save mine into Microsoft word BEFORE I upload, just to rid any chance of loss...

Sorry dude, it sucks.

Yep, you have to assume your PC is going to break down at any time -

  • type your reviews in Word/Notepad and save them
  • save documents as you type and, most importantly
  • back everything up!

Never had a problem with that before
That's crazy that so many of you have, happened to me once I believe...

Regardless, I usually copy the whole thing before I submit.

Nope, it's all pretty basic PC stuff. I would not consider spending an hour typing in a Word document without saving it, as Word or indeed your PC could crash any time.

The same thing should apply when typing a review for PA. Your browser could crash, your internet connection could drop etc etc.

I'm afraid you're suffering from the delusion that computers are reliable.

Don't forget that Word has autosave feature. And I think that Open Offiice Writer has it too.
