Dear friends

I´m visiting New York City from the 14th to the 19th of december, and I would thank anyone who could suggest any special event those days. I checked Iridum Jazz Club, Village Vanguard, Knitting Factory and The Stone calendars, but I´m sure there will be more than that. Sopmething similar happens with record shops, there are so many that I won´t have time for all of them, so any suggestion is welcomed

Thanks a lot

Never been in New York, but I think it is mandatory to see Mr. Les Paul at Iridum Jazz Club:  http://www.iridiumjazzclub.com/ - http://www.iridiumjazzclub.com/

He plays there every Monday. Don't miss your chance!

YOU should definitely go to the Blue Note on the 14th to see McCoy Tyner's group with Savion Glover and special guest John Scofield!!!! I'm so pissed because I'm going out to Seattle the week he is playing up there.  I would have driven up to NYC to see McCoy with Frisell (the special guest on other days) and/or Scof, but I can't now.  BOOOO.  Its probably going to be amazing.

Checkout on their websites, whether New Yorkers  Gary Lucas or Wayne Krantz are playing that week - both essential

I had heard about Wayne Krantz, but I had never been really interested in his solo work before your reccommendation. And now that I got a bit more informed, I feel unlucky he won´t be there those days. What a pity.
