It's...

Me! well, okay considering the fact that most people introduce themselves here it is not exactly completely different, but what the hell...Tongue

My name is Tom de Wit and I am a musician from Holland who has joined the progarchive recently. (this morning actually) I have been checking this website for a couple of years now but I never realy felt the urge to join in on the forums because I've never took the time to check them out .... and now that I did, I would realy like to be a part of it!!! Big smile

At the moment I am 21 years old and I have been into progressive music since my 13th. I am a musician myself and I am mostly a vocalist. I also play my share of keyboards and guitars and I compose for every instrument that sounds good to me, no matter where it comes from or what genre it is "supposed to be in".

I am the songwriter, lyricist, vocalist and keyboardist for the TDW project. I am the main vocalist and guitarist for Panta Rhei and I have my share of stuff on the side including production work and other musical workings. I won't be going into all the musical stuff in detail here, but if you are interested you can check out the following websites:

http://www.tdwmusic.com
http://www.myspace.com/tdwmusic
http://www.myspace.com/pantarheiband

My all-time top 5 bands/musicians would be:

5 Frank Zapapa
4 Tool
3 Pain of Salvation
2 Dream Theater
1 Symphony X

I guess if you would really want to know my influences and favourite bands the list stated on my personal myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/tdwtom) will give you a more indepth look. (I just placed my whole music list on there :P)

Last but not least, I would like to point out that prog means total freedom to me and that I am very happy that there is a big amount of websites and webzines dedicated to our beloved genre's, because I genuinely think that through prog is the genre were people can expres themselves without being limited by narrow-mindedness or pre-written musical rules!

I hope this gives you a little insight in what I am about and if there is anything you would like to know besides the above stated info, post or send me a PM and I'll react asap ;)

Greetings!
Tom
