Well I was in Boston for two days, so I figured with all my spare time I'd raid all the music stores I could find around here. Ended up getting a few CDs and starting up a vinyl collection!

Frank Zappa - Hot Rats (have this one digitally but been wanting a physical copy for a while)
Banda Do Casaco - Hoje Ha Conquilhas Amanha Nao Sabemos
Ozric Tentacles - Strangitude
Ozric Tentacles - Pungent Effulgent

and on vinyl:
Yes - Close to the Edge
Chris Squire - Fish out of Water
Santana - Caravanserai
Dixie Dregs - What If
However - Calling
UK - UK
Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die

Now I just need a record player and I'm good to go Tongue.

I haven't picked it up yet; but, I do plan on hitting the CD shop at lunch. I'm hearing too many good things about it, which has piqued my curiosity.

Did you get the 1 disc or 2 disc version of Marbles? I like the flow of the single disc better, but "Ocean Cloud" and "The Only Unforgivable Thing" are superb.

Oh, and while at a used CD place on Friday I found the new Ayreon for $10.00. Maybe this goes back to Ivan's "Are you a compulsive prog shopper' thread, but I just had to get it even though I'm not the biggest Ayreon/Arjen fan. So far it's pretty good and a bit more on the prog side and less on the metal side, which I like.

Here's a bit of a delayed response but...

I got the one disc edition since the two disc seems to not exist where I am - which is highly unfortunate.

I think the 2 disc version is only available from the bands website.

That makes sense. Is the new album also going to be that way?

From what their website says, the album will be available as a double disc special edition version (with the usual stuff that Marillion add to those) or with the two discs available seperatly. I'm not sure how they are going to do it for commercial availability (i.e. in the stores) but I would be surprised if they didnt make the two disc version available in store in some form or another. Check their website, last time I was there all the information concerned the pre-order versions that will be initially relesed (the 2 disc is £31 (!), BTW).

I purchased some vinyls this weekend for $1.99 each.  It has been a long time since I purchased vinyl, but these are all older albums that I hadn't heard yet that I thought would be cool to hear on vinyl.
