I did five hours for participating in a civil disobedience action (we were ROR), and about three hours for possession of marijuana (I was bailed out quickly).  No overnights...

Peace.

Was three days in a juvenile detention center when I was 13 or 14.  Possession of Illegal Substances (lsd, mescaline).

I 'm very glad those days are LLLLLOOOOOONNNNGGGGG gone now.
This is the first time I've even thought about that incident in years.

I wasn't, but my older brother was in jail for pimping minors. For 1 year.

Sorry, I definitely didn't want to arouse painful memories, but I guess that is inevitable when I start a thread about prison sentences.

A police once pulled over to us because he thought me and my mate were playing with matches... he was actually lighting his fag... the police apologised and drove off.

I'm such a badass.

Did five hours in the county clink for a simple misdemeanor possession charge. If I had been a resident of the state I was in, I wouldn't have had to post bail, as it's a "book-and-release" offense in that state, but only if you live there.

I haven't been jailed but I smoked a substance called salvia, which is intended for people 18 years old.  That's about it.  It wasn't that great

Crimson:

The civil disobedience action was against a proposed nuke plant near NYC.  Over 700 people went "over the fence" (literally), and were arrested.  We all spent about 5 hours in the Yaphank Jail.  Then ROR.

The marijuana charge was a fluke.  There was a petit larceny charge attached, but it was a frame-up.

Goose:

I hear you.  If the statutes of limitations hadn't run out on a number of things, I would be in serious trouble...

Peace.

I've never actually been arrested, but I was carried into a police station once after some skinheads took the law into their own hands - my crime?

Wearing of long hair and a denim jacket in a built up area during the hours of darkness.

It's a fair cop, guv!

I was arrested when I was 13, for burning a house down!!

Its not as bad as it sounds. I did light the fire, but the house was derelict, unnocupied and scheduled for demolision anyway. Thats why the local town council - who owned the house - didn't press charges. I got a caution and had to see a counsellor at school, who I had to convince that I didn't have an issue with fire.

Next to me, Rutger Hauer is about as frightening as Jon Anderson singing 'The Circus of Heaven'

Actually, that is quite scarey isn't it...

But like they say, it's the 'quiet ones' you gotta watch out for..

With our new retirement system, I may only have another six and a half years to go.

You guys have a tough job. A C.O. once saved my ass. So
I'm gratefull to all you guys. It sucks that they pushed
retirement back on you. Probably voted themselves a pay
raise at the same time, those bastards.
Be well. And thanks.

Oh, you missed my point Synthetic friend. I'm gettin' a bwitchin' gravy retirement. I'll actually make more money retired then I do workin'. At 70 years old, Mr. Seed Looper is going to stroke out before he gets a pension. Actually, I believe he strokes out daily.  "Oh nurse, get the wet wipes for the keyboard, eh!"

Ya know we're gettin' old when we start talkin' 'bout retirement.

I didn't have a nice time with it, I spent 30-40 minutes with my head between my knees feeling as though everything were too dark and cold and forgetting what was going on. My friend was stoned and kept talking and talking and I really wanted him to shut up . Salvia comes totally unrecommended!
