Maybe not that important but... I've noticed some issues with new
features after the forum engine upgrade. Let me quote my post from
another thread:

One more thing: I miss the Active Topics button when I want to go back from the Private Messenger.

Why can`t the whole thing just stay the same since day one. My computer dates from the late 16th century and can`t keep up.

I also also noticed that when scrolling down a thread often horizontal lines appear in posts containing quotes of other posts. Anybody else noticed that?

See the previous posts Vibe. mailto:M@x - M@x needed to move to the upgrade to protect the site. The newer version of the software has improved anti-hacking protection.

I am still having issues with viewing threads where accents are used.
For example, the Mikael Akerfeldt interview thread title shows thr A as a questionmark, because of the accent that should be above it.
As many members, bands, songs and suchlike use accents, wouldn't it be useful to be able to show them?

I noticed this with some of my old PMs as well.  This appears to be a migration issue since I seem to be able to use extended characters in new posts, it's just the old ones that are screwed up. I am having some other issues with Opera though (http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=44871&PID=2731884#2731884).

I guess if I delete my cache, everything will be fine... but I don't want to do that.

I miss the "recent posts" at the bottom of the main forum page and the link on a members' profile to their reviews and bio.

Something else I don't like is the new page numbers for the long threads, because they no longer change colour to purple, like they did before, so I don't know which pages I've visited before.

Can anybody tell me whether or not this is because my computer dates from the times of the great plague. For many of the band bios you have to scroll down half a page before anything appears.

Just to let you know, it seems the diacritics issue has been fixed... I hope so.

I've never experienced that. Could it be a PC memory or video memory type issue with the PC perhaps? One for the techies!

it looks like to be a refresh problem of the browser ... I have the same error using Firefox version 2.0.0.11.
when I'm new to a page or refresh it everything is okay first of all. But after scrolling the page up and down those ugly lines are appearing ...

The horizontal lines bug is difficult to re-produce ... AFAIK you only see it with Firefox, and only with posts/quotes which involve the Internet Explorer.
Not something M@x or the forum software need to fix ... it's simply a browser bug.

Exactly. The same happens to me.

BTW, why has this thread become so wide after the first post? EDIT: a new page started and its width came back to normal.
