"Random Precision"  Recording the music of Syd Barrett 1965-1974
by David Parker

One of the most incredible resources I've ever seen for the Barrett fan.  Full documentation of every recording session Barrett ever participated in, based on studio records and interviews with producers, management, and sound engineers who were there.

Exhaustive details and fascinating insights into the way things were recorded and the working dynamics.  Mostly dry reading though, expect to read much more about the songs than about Syd's personal issues.

I have many Floyd books and this is among my most treasured.
