Why don't we have links to guitar tab sites or, perhaps this is a little too ambitious, we have a guitar tab section on this website to prog songs members could submit their own etc with a ranking for their accuracy. We could put it its own forum. Or is this a bit out of the scope for this website?

I'm sure there would be copyright issues there. A lot of tab sites have been closed down recently.

The debate that's currently going on is to whether or not the copyrights of composers are violated by tabs sites - it's not very clear whether a tab written by someone 'by ear' is the same as the original work. The MPA and some other organisations have threatened tabs sites with legal action, and the sites are closing down or closing their databases temporarily until this is settled. Hope it works out for the best - a lot of people have learned to play through tabs (even before the internet became what it is), including some of the artists who's rights are now apparently violated.
