Anyone come across these guys.

They seem to be a mixture of Sha-na-na, a male voice choir, and a jazz band. There are a number of their songs on You tube, including this cover of Uriah Heep's song named after myself.

They also do unique versions of "Stairway to heaven" (all 10 minutes) and "Smoke on the water" among many others.

Great stuff.

Yeah, it's a Finnish band of professional great players. At some point they decided to go the humour-way. I think they're more popular in Germany than anywhere else. My friend is a huge fan of theirs. the choir in the back is the Red Army choir.

I never got into them, though they are great players, and the performance is nice always. But as far as I know, they don't make their own music. Only covers of classics like LA Woman and Whiskey in the Jar and what you mentioned.

Wasn't the band actually formed for Aki Kaurismäki's film Leningrad Cowboys Go America? If I remember correctly, most of the original band members were from the humour band Sleepy Sleepers.
