Which band used to listen when you driving...
Last year I was completely in Redemption... These days my speakers are full of Transatlantic music...

I tend to debut all my new albums in the car and nothing sounds bad whilst driving.
When it comes to the best driving music IMO, one song stands out from all. It's "Riders On The Storm" by the Doors. It has a beautifil rhythmic fluidity that sucks the miles away.

I like playing weird stuff like Beauborg by Vangelis, Brainticket, Throbbing Gristle, Thrakattak,Floh de Cologne etc. especially when I have friends or my wife`s friends as passengers just to make them think I`m insane.

I would say that a very large percentage of the time when I am driving by myself I am playing prog, proto-prog, or prog-related music (75% or better)...Presently, I am finising my latest marathon of all of the official Yes releases (excluding superfluous compilations)...I am on the last track of 1997's Open Your Eyes (Not as bad as some would have you believe IMHO)....Think I will do a Rush-a-thon Next Wink
Now alll bets are off when my wife is in the car.....LOL

For now, I have Van Morrison Greatest hits, ELP, Yes ( Classic Yes), the Moody Blues and some others. Sometimes, I have Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Jon and Vangelis. "Fanfare for the Common Man" is a great piece of music while driving ( very energic).

Me too. Captain BeefHeart, Ruins, Zappa, Waits and Residents. No one ask me twice for a lift.

When I am sitting in the car I usually listen to Rush All The World's A Stage. Or Creedence Clearwater Revival.

My car is my sanctuary during the commute so I tend to listen to Genesis, Yes, Dream Theater, etc.  I can crank it like I can never crank it at home.  Cool

My sanctuary also. I listen almost exclusively to prog while driving.

Thank God for His creation of the iPod and car adaptor.

30 GB iPod, so I have a huge selection when driving.

I don't generally like listening to slow-moving music when driving, though. I'm pretty picky, which is why I can't just set my iPod on shuffle.

It usually takes me a few minutes just to decide what to listen to before I put the car in reverse and actually back out of my driveway or parking spot. The bands that get the most play recently have been Opeth, The Haunted, and Katatonia.
