I'm listening right now my copy of the soundtrack, after having watched the incedible movie for wich it was written. This level of beauty is hard to describe. The movie, off course, is extraordinaire. The music is indeed another character of it. Nino Rota is one of the most talented composers, as seen on his many contributions to cinema. Incredible album, incredible musicianship, and a lot of very weird resources for the listener to taste.

I have several Fellini soundtracks by Nino Rota on CD and vinyl, and a 2-CD compilation that has tracks from most of his movies (Casanova included).  I think they're fantastic.

What strikes me the most is, music seems to be another character, as it has a very distinctive, notorious presence along the movie, instead of working as a mere background.
