Horrible night. A medium size spider bit my left index finger. It still hurts a little. That wasn't the worst part of the night. As I'm helping with the reconstruction of this house, last night I had to sleep with one of the windows open, because of paint, antifungus product applied to walls, etc. While sleeping, a little moth entered my right ear. I thought I was going to loose my mind. I freaked out, as the damn insect started scratching some inner membrane or whatever while flapping the wings. I was screaming in despertion, until my brother catched me and removed the insect using a tweezer. Hydeous, I tell you. I'm still alterated by the mear memory of it. ------------- ¡Beware of the Bee! |

my, you have some hungry insects in Chile, Mr. C !!!! Try wearing a bee-keeping suit, gloves and veil next time you sleep - works with bees usually, but hysterical when one of the little buggers gets in......

I guess that little moth just flew in. I had an insect collection when I was young. Chilean insects from the "Scarabidae" family are up to 200 different species; so I was interested on them for a while. There is an insect trap, wich consist in digging a hole in the groud, and placing a flask iwth a little entrance. So, the insect enters the trap, and, when it tries to reach out, the wings opened prevent it to come out. I guess what happened with the moth is something similar, but with my ear instead of a flask. I can asure you, I was totally out of control. My brother had to push me and shake me a lot in order to get my cooperation with the thing with the tweezers, wich ultimately solve it. The spider bit looks ok; it is nothing, actually; it was a tiny spider. the moth, I won't forget. ------------- ¡Beware of the Bee! |

Urgh, I don't like moths, but they're more tolerable than crane fly! I'm fine with butterflies though, cause they're outside and concentrate on the flowers. Moths head straight for the monitor and annoy me all night! Once had a baby bat in my bed, that was not a pleasant evening! -------------
