I do too...  Well, it's more of less the same meaning as Lovin' Spoonful, isn't it? As to really bad, ugly names, I think there are quite a few death and black metal bands that deserve this award. Cannibal Corpse, anyone? |

Nice one  Deströyer 666 I think is a fantastic name, no pretensions, just arse kicking metal! Not all bands take themselves totally seriously. Job For a Cowboy is one of the worst band names I have ever heard. The mere mention of it makes me want to stand up and say "If you can't have a decent name, you can't make decent music blah blah balh". Yeah I hate that name. -------------

Dead Kennedys - bad name, but some very good music. Jockorama was one of the best songs to come out of punk. Cowboy Junkies - I have everything of theirs. Pretty good band, although a bit predictable after a while. Around that same time there was also a band called Cowboy Mouth which I didn't understand the meaning of (and most likely wouldn't have wanted to know). ------------- "Peace is the only battle worth waging." When I was in my teens, a friend of mine played in a band called "Urinprobe", the German word for "Urine Sample". They never made a record though, as far as I know. -------------  BaldJean and I; I am the one in blue. |
