At the risk of sounding like the stereotypical male, I'm glad to see some nice looking members of the opposite gender in progressive music. Not limited to just the men-folk, who is the musician within the progressive genre who raises your blood pressure?

For me, it's Susie Bogdanowicz of Glass Hammer. Not only is she hotter than doughnut grease, but she also seems like a very sweet woman. Appearances aside, I really like what she adds to Glass Hammer's dynamics. Her vocals on "Run Lisette" are absolutely stunning, too.

Are women allowed their say in this thread? Wink Unfortunately I don't know many of the newest bands (though I've seen pix of Daniel Gildenlow, and he looks pretty hot), but I can mention some of my favourite male eye candy of the Golden Age of Prog:

- Eddie Jobson
- David Gilmour
- John Wetton
- Tony Banks
- Peter Gabriel (not bad-looking even nowadays)

As to non-prog, the list would probably be longer, but I'll only mention Iron Maiden's Steve Harris and the stunning John Sykes with his flowing golden locks.

I expect some feedback from the other girls here!LOL

hmmmmmmmmm, well......... Peter Gabriel has got better looking in my opion as he has got older, he has beautiful eyes.
I confess to fancying Nick Barrett from Pendragon,

Some of the "new boys" in prog are a bit young for me to be fancying really!

Well, I rarely find fanciable people around, as I've always been very difficult...Wink Anyway, it's quite true that none of us got into prog in order to drool at babes or hunks - would've been easier to get into boy bands or disco music, if that had been the purpose!

BTW, I had a look at the Riverside website... Is Mariusz Duda the one with blond hair and a beard? He does have an air of Sean Bean (Heart) about him.... I wouldn't mind seeing him live!

Good to know...Wink Smiling people are nicer than tortured types - unless they smile AND are tortured inside at the same time (I was so unlucky as to run into such a one a few years agoCry).

Somebody who really looked cute when younger was Rush's Alex Lifeson - pity he's put on a bit too many pounds in the intervening years!

actually, hellhammer has played with prog metal bands arcturus, age of silence and winds; samoth has played with prog metal arcturus and ulver and with hagalaz' runedance; esa holopainen is in amorphis, who i think is prog metal; and dave wyndorf is in monster magnet, who draws a huge influence from hawkwind and amon duul.

Some more Simone Simmons

Vibeke Stenne from Tristania, not as proggy, but just as good!

Tarja Turunen from Nightwish

and more Floor Jansen (probably my personal favorite)
