I propose that in addition to the info on each band in their pages here on PA another info would be added that would say whether this band is still active or disbanded (or just on hold, unknown etc). I find myself sometimes wondering whether this unknown band which I awndered into their page is still recroding albums, so if there is a link to their site I can find out there, but I can as well find out everything about them there so no need for the biography here at all.

Another thing is that in the main page where the newest reviews are published, I think that in addition to the genre, year and ratings the country and status of the band should be there as well. Although this is less important than the previous suggestion.

Besides these matters, I'd like to say how much I enjoy being in this site and I have discovered many bands here.

Good idea in principle, although with some prog bands, you can't be sure what state they're in (e.g VdGG)!

Sometimes you can tell from the biog if they're still active, although I guess if they haven't released an album in the last 10 years, it's probably not a good sign (expect in the case of Kate Bush).

In another site I visit alot ( http://www.bnrmetal.com - www.bnrmetal.com ) the author writes either Acvive, Disbanded, Unknown. To these we can add On Hiatus etc so as at least give an idea of what is the situation is with this band, it does not need to be as complex as defining band genre, which can be an issue for world war in this site

As Prog-Jester also noted in his thread, I thin that there should be a link to country menu and not only bands, albums and top 100. getting to it from the artists page is possible but if it can be done in a more convenient way then why not?

* Bump *

Maybe these ideas can now be reconsidered for the upgraded site? Look at the first post above.

I will gladly assist in any efforts necessary to complete these tasks and others that involve researching and database update.

Perhaps it is time for you to consider upping the acceptable word-count - currently, your guidelines say a minimum of 50 (though it says 75 when you submit a review). It is very hard to pack a lot of meaning into such few words.
