Or Udu Wudu might be a better place to start.....

My usual recommendation is Magma Live:Hhai, although most of Magma's 70s albums are worth checking out. MDK (recommended above) is probably THE essential Zeuhl album, and the one which inspired most other Zeuhl artists.

Not listed as Zeuhl, but related - Univers Zero - Ceux Du Dehors.

Other European Zeuhl - Weidorje - Weidorje, and Shub Niggurath - Les Morts Vont Vites (one of the darkest Zeuhl albums, which is saying something). Zao were also excellent, but I don't know if anything is currently in print.

Ruins - Symphonica or Koenji Hyakkei - Nivrayam are good examples of Japanese Zeuhl.

I would recommend Magma - K.A as a great starting point for that classic band. Once you've explored all the essential Magma releases (MDK, Live/Hhai tops among them), you can move on to the other classic zeuhl bands like Eskaton, Weidorje, Zao, Vortex etc.

For modern zeuhl, Koenjihyakkei's new one Angherr Shisspa is perhaps their best, and is readily available in the USA.
