Is there anyone around here who likes this band? IMO is the most consistent heavy metal band of the past decade. I can't find any weak album of them. They play really technical metal music (NO, I DON'T WANT THEM TO BE IN THE PROGARCHIVES ). In fact IMO they are getting better and better...

I have also watched them twice on stage and were awesome...

I like 'em. (though they're not prog at all). 'Dead Heart In A Dead World' is my most favorite METAL album of the last 10 years... Yet have to see 'em on stage.

I agree they are not prog (they don't need to ) but they play excellent technical metal IMO.

As for DHIADW, the album is a masterpiece, maybe their most complete work to date.

When Dead Heart came out was when I got into them. To this day, I think it's an incredible album - one of my favorites of all time, probably.

After Dead Heart, I bought Dreaming Neon Black, which everyone claimed was their best. I wasn't really feeling it, at first. It took me a long time to get into that album, but now I do think it's killer. I recently picked up the In Memory EP and that's great, as well. Someday I may pick up more of their material, but right now they're not a priority. So many bands, so little time!

Nevermore is pretty darn good.

But I really don't want to categorize them though, because they are sooooo unique!

Saw Nevermore when they played as support for Opeth in Toronto.  Must say Jeff Loomis is an awesome guitarist!

Although I don't play them a lot, they are very very good. I like all their albums.

I love Nevermore.  I saw them in Detroit along with Fireball Ministry and Opeth and they kicked my ass.  I have all of their sudio albums and although I love DHIADW completely (especially The River Dragon Has Come) but I think This Godless Endeavor is a little more technical overall.  Not really i mportant to me, though as I can listen to all of their albums all the way through.

I liked them very much around the time of their "Dreaming Neon Black" album. After that I lost interest.

The following albums are all excellent. Enemies of Reality had a weaker sound, but it was recently re-mastered by Andy Sneap who also mastered the other two albums. The result is an absolutely amazing, nearly perfect mix.
