Not sure if this has been suggested before.

But I would like to know the top rated albums on this site across all genres in 2005, 2004 etc.

This would be cool.

Actually we have been discussing issues lioke this one and we are first planning to have a best release of this year among collabs.

We are alsothinking about creating polls about every year since 1967 and even this could be done for members also, not just collabs.

As for having the best of by year according to the reviews and ratings in the databse , this is really up to mailto:M@X - M@X . Only him has the keys to modify the programs for making this possible. Could you PM this idea to him?
