Hello everyone!

I have been studying the archives for the past 2 years, and decided to check out the forums for the first time today. Many thanks to the webmaster and all the reviewers. This site is great, and has been the primary source by which I've found all the exceptional music that I've listened to recently.

Anyway, a little about myself...I'm a graduate student in physics at Georgia Tech. I (like all of you) love music, and play a few instruments (as I'm sure many of you all do as well). I mainly play guitar. I own a fender lone star strat, and I have a roomate, so I usually restrict myself by playing through my line 6 pod and computer speakers . I also am interested in learning to play keys. I recent bought a korg dw-8000 synthesizer, and have been tooling around on that since december. Here is a list of albums that I would consider to be favorites:

IQ - Dark Matter, The Seventh House, Subterranea, Seven Stories into 98

Dream Theater - IAW, SFAM

Genesis - Selling England by the Pound

Rush - 2112

Riverside - Out of Myself

Supertramp - Crime of the Century

The Tangent - The Music that Died Alone

Gentle Giant - In a Glass House

King Crimson - Islands, In the Wake of Poseidon

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Andromeda - Extension of the Wish

Sieges Even - Sophisticated

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick

Marillion - Marbles, Clutching at Straws

Djam Karet - The Devouring

Pineapple Theif - Variations on a Dream

Vauxdvihl - To Dimension Logic (highly recommended)

If anyone knows how to obtain a legitimate copy of 'to dimension logic', please tell me. I've looked all over and can't seem to find one available for purchase.

Here's the new stuff (to me) I'm currently listening to:

Opeth - Ghost Reveries

Sieges Even - The Art of Navigating by the Stars

Pain of Salvation - One Hour by Concrete Lake

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing

And here's what's in the mail:

Riverside - Second Life Syndrome (11/8 doesnt come fast enough)

The Church - Priest = Aura

Ok, so now you know all about me, or at least the large portion that is music. I look forward to interacting with you all on the forums!
