Now Warrior on the Edge of Time is my actual favorite Hawkwind studio release. That Motorhead album is alright as well.

Warrior on the Edge of Time. One part packing peanuts, one part fiberglass and two parts vinegar can melt your psyche if you don't let it cure out in the sun first.

I love Warrior on the Edge of Time. It is only fairly recently that I got really into that album. Before that I was more of a Space Ritual and In Search of Space guy. I also have enjoyed Tim Blake & Jean Phillipe Rykiel's Waterfalls in Space, but I do prefer Blake's earlier releases, Crystal Machine and Blake's New Jerusalem (those were particular favourites of mine when I started to really explore progressive electronic music).

Hearing "Spiral Galaxy..." in particular is what grew to me now really loving the album. Sometimes it's one track that just connects with me and hits me particularly hard, especially when an album is background music. I might be multitasking, working on something, and something grabs my attention. That's what happened with this album.
