Isn't good progressive rock music emerging more effortlessly from darker themes? Doesn't it seem to be more challenging to create prog stuff from a place of positivity, optimism, and brightness? This is actually why I got the idea for this thread that should display sunny, upbeat progressive rock. I would like to commence this discussion with these two tracks from the 2022 album by Norwegian band Knekklectric, which is rather convivial, bright, and sunny, especially when compared to most of their compatriots. Plenty of the early british proto prog feel sunny, joyous, full of life and optimism to me: I have no idea what its about but it is one of the "happiest" and most carefree sounding songs I know of. |

Moon Safari - Himlabacken Vol 2 also I like King Gizzards latest album . It's a fun thing. I always imagine them playing their music on a bright sunny day with a barbie going on in the background! |
