So here's one for those new to prog or progarchives (although of course anyone can and should participate). Don't worry, most of my polls after this probably won't focus on bands that everyone and their grandmother knows. Tongue

Also, these are the five highest rated KC albums on P.A. but it just happened to turn out that way.

If you prefer one of those then please vote "other." Wink I didn't want a poll with everything they did just their top albums.

Nah I voted all the classics, equally.

I think everything '69-81 is 'top'

I love all the early days records of King Crimson just about the same.

ItCotCK and Red are my two favourites, also fond of LTiA.

LTIA for me. My least favorite of the original iteration of Crimson albums is probably Islands and although it has grown on me over time I like the others better (even ITWOP).

Oh, so you could show your top 5 (or top 10) all time!

Red
Don't like Discipline and LTIA. Like the debut and Lizard.
(after Red I would rather listen to later 90's and 00's Crimson)

All Equally is closest to how I feel about them.

I like all of them, but my vote went to In The Court Of The Crimson King. Smile

Lizard, Court, Aspic, Red (in that order)

Discipline, Island, Wake, (no order)

Bible, Thrak, Power (no order)

Beat, Pair, Light, Miracle (no order)

It's off topic here; chances are this is worth a separate thread (chances are also it has been done before, but could be interesting anyway). Wink

Larks' has been my favorite KC album for a long time but you are missing other great releases by the band, among which you may find other favorites of mine like 'Islands' and 'The Power to Believe'. (Together with 'Court' and 'Red', of course)

^ As I already stated the point of this poll wasn't to represent all K.C. albums but instead just their most popular. If there is one you like better then please vote for the "other" option. ;)

Discipline. Also, a shout out to Starless and Bible Black.

LTIA and Red equally , voted LTIA

I'm surprised at the results so far. Usually red seems to win in these kinds of polls.

My top five
Starless And Bible Black
Larks' Tongues In Aspic
Red
In The Court Of The Crimson King
The Power To Believe

So I voted "other". Islands would be next in line then Discipline.

If there wasn't an All Equally-option, I know I would have landed on Red. But as I'd rate all of KC's studio albums 1969-1981 either a 9/10 or 10/10, it was an easy vote for all five.

Red from these five, but I like The ConstruKction of Light and The Power to Believe more. When I become a ramp, I'm not going to put mustard on it.

I would've been surprised if anything other than King Crimson's superb debut album had won this poll. Smile
