Hi,

the drummer of the Italian post-rock band Aether has asked me to add their new album.
I've done it, but there's a Brazilian band with the same name and the album has been added to their page.

Is there any way to fix it?
Also, how can I distinguish the two bands from the admin panel?

P.S. - I should also add a couple of singles from the same band

^ I've moved that album to the correct Aether band for you Luca.

All you needed to do in the admin panel was change the artist id number in the top field from 8 (the Brazilian Aether) to 12558 (the Italian Aether). The cover was lost during the move, so that then needed to be re-uploaded. I've not altered anything else on the page, it's all as you originally entered it, but the page could really do with being edited to comply with the normal PA formatting - like this:

1. Sidus (Prelude) (1:12)
2. Neptune (6:13)
3. Magrathea (5:46)
4. Saturn (4:26)
5. Ephemeris (7:18)
6. Pale Blue Dot (4:58)
7. Amalthea (5:21)
8. Sidus (12:55)

Total Time 48:09

- Andrea Serino / piano, keyboards
- Andrea Ferrari / guitars
- Andrea Grumelli / bass
- Teo Ravelli / drums, electronics

Cover Artwork by Mario Coppola

CD & Digital self-released 27 September 2024

Thanks a lot. I did notice the "8" when I tried to move it but i thought it was a sort of a bug.

Hi Admins,

I'd like to report an issue with a recent addition.
Band: Synesthesia
Album: THE OMEGA MAN

Release date is incorrect. The album was released on March 1, 2021 not on March 18, 2025

Please see https://somanrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-omega-man

^ The mess actually extends a lot further than is immediately apparent here, Andrew - since the 'The Omega Man' album (and also the previous one 'Battle For Montsegur') was released by a completely different Synesthesia to the one which is on PA https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9761" rel="nofollow - here .

You yourself added the 'Battle For Montsegur' album to the page (and left the total time as the default value of 78:12, whereas it should be 59:25), but neither of these two albums belong on the page at all.

The other Synesthesia is also a French band, progressive metal of sorts, but unless we get them evaluated by the PM team and added to PA, the two albums in question have to be deleted (or overwritten by other releases).

The Synesthesia that we have on PA is this one: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/synesthesia" rel="nofollow - https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/synesthesia , and the Synesthesia which recorded the last two albums on the page is this one: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/synesthesia-2" rel="nofollow - https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/synesthesia-2 .

The band that we have on PA split up in October 2015, not long after the release of their debut album.

The 'rogue' Synesthesia could perhaps be evaluated by the PM team as the first stage of dealing with the mess, and if approved, the albums could be moved to the correct page after being edited to remove the errors.

Edit: I've now asked the PM team if they might consider evaluating the other French Synesthesia, though having since listened to the two albums, I personally doubt it that the band will be approved for addition.

Mayer picked 'The Omega Man' album up from here: https://anthon-norwellexperiment.bandcamp.com/album/synesthesia-the-omega-man-20" rel="nofollow - https://anthon-norwellexperiment.bandcamp.com/album/synesthesia-the-omega-man-20 , since Synesthesia parted company with Soman Records quite a while back (July 2021), and Anthon Norwell has obviously reissued the album under his own control. That's where the release date of 18th March 2025 has come from.

Thank you for the reply. I guess that's where the confusion is, both band are have the same name and from the same country. Apologies
