Thanks for the post. I'm always interested in unreleased Renaissance concerts or sessions. But it looks odd that the 1978 BBC concert doesn't feature Northern Lights, their big UK hit for that year. I'll have to think about this one.

^^ maybe they felt that 3 tracks from the album was enough (the title track is the stunner, while Back Home Once Again was known to audiences as the theme music to a TV show), besides, it does include their TOTP appearance on the DVD?

^ They would have been miming on TOTP , everyone had to inc even ELP (All I Want Is You) although maybe Sabbath bucked the trend with Never Say Die if I remember correctly.

really? even back in 1978? I certainly remember this being a 'thing' in the late 80's, and I'm sure we all remember the famous All About Eve episode, but I didn't realise this had always been the case?

Hi Steve
Northern Lights was not an immediate hit, and it's possible it hadn't caught on as a single yet at the time of this recording.

I've always been disappointed that, while they played everything from Novella on that tour, they never seem to have played certain songs from ASFAS, such as "Closer than Yesterday" and "Kindness", though I'm glad they didn't play "She is Love" Shocked
