"Shield For Your Eyes" is a song I hold quite dear but in the end, "The Girl From Ipanema" remains nigh unbeatable... ^ Thanks, both superb picks. Since one need not limit to three or less, I'm giving two more votes, one for Konomi Sasaki's "Yukimushi" , which I find so lovely, and another for Komeda's "Cul de Sac". Both of which may very well not get any votes other than mine. A fair Japanese showing in this round with Konomi Sasaki, Fishmans, and Melt-Banana with its gibberish English lyrics (she, the singer, gets her words from English phrase books/ dictionaries...) and we have the Korean Yaya Kim.
