SAWS are a North American krautrock ensemble featuring former https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1347" rel="nofollow - Cul de Sac drummer Chris Guttmacher, session player Rick Frystak, Brian A. Rosser and Rick Potts, co-founder of Solid Eye and the Los Angeles Free Music Society. Operating out of Los Angeles, Califonia, the band naturally get their name from their unique sound sourced from electronically-processed musical saws. These saws are performed by Potts and Rosser along with electric guitars and synthesizers, joined by Frystak on bass and Mellotron and Guttmacher on drums and percussion.
