I had been moving your Chicago Review topics out of the Prog Blogs forum into Get the Word Out, and am doing the same for this one (due to the shadow topics that the forums defaults to, the moves might be missed). A Blog topic here consists of information (a topic) that generally is quite regularly updated, rather than, in these cases of these, a series of topics that link to reviews off site. Some of the topics in Prog Blogs are questionable as is, but this does not fit the guidelines. | I do think it would be better and would prefer it if you were to promote your Substack topics (reviews) in one thread with updates (and such practices have been encouraged here else it is more likely to come across as spammy). That keeps things better organised (both for your reviews and for the forum). And if it were me, I would try to say something about each review/ article, and maybe quote some of it to make your posts here more engaging and tempting, and more likely to elicit conversation and thread commentary (see, say, Lazland's site promotion). |
