No, I'm not counting 'Tubular Bells 2003', and Yes, I'm counting Music of the Spheres as 2 Suites (It's listed on PA as such)
I've been in an Oldfield mood recently, and I assume Tubular Bells Part 1 will win, (even though my vote goes to Amarok) since it's considered his masterpiece, but multiple votes are allowed, so choose your favorites (as many as you like, they're all great).
Sadly, it seems the legend has retired, leaving 'Tubular Bells 4 Intro' as his last known recording (though rumors still circulate of a completed Tubular Bells 4 still out there). But his legacy lives on!

Mike Oldfield's music is really good, so it's hard to choose one over the rest. They're all great.

From the options given above:
1. Amarok 2. Taurus II 3. Crises 4. The Wind Chimes 5. The Platinum Suite
I take it that Tubular Bells II is considered to be made up of individual songs, as opposed to movements of a much larger work. Otherwise, it belongs here as well.
And where is the vastly underrated "Music from the Balcony" (19:45) from the vastly underrated Heaven's Open album?

^I forgot about that one!! But sadly, I can't add an option after the poll has been created (they should add that on here)
according to PA, Tubular Bells II is separate songs

Tubular bells was my first real introduction to 'instrumental, long form music' even before i discovered bands like Camel, Yes and Focus in the early-mid 70s and it holds a special place in my heart.
But Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn moved me in a way that very few other artists have done so i will have to choose them.
Incantations is lovely too and the 'Exposed' live versions were masterful.
Ive dipped in and out of his music after that; some excellent and others doing little for me.

Always puzzles me why Incantations Part 3 gets so little love on a prog site. For me this has his best guitar work and you get some brilliant drumming from Pierre Moerlin and a superb climax as well. Perfect! Of course Ommadawn Part One is wonderful and maybe is a bit broader musically. I also love the recent orchestral version of Tubular Bells that came out a few years ago (in fact more than the original recording)

To my ears most of those "epic masterpieces" of Mike Oldfield are rather tedious and boring. But I very much like Taurus II and Crises. Just behind those two: Tubular Bells and TB2. An other album I do like is Discovery; probably not a popular opinion amongst the prog ayatollahs.

I'm more of a prog lower tollah. The only side-long Mike Oldfield suite that sounds tedious and boring to my ears is Music from a Balcony from Heaven's Open.
