La Sezatoare is the only one I wasn't originally familar with. They're all gorgeous really. I'm a sucker for groovin' and playful jazzfusion with a relaxed - or loose sort of feel. Much more into that than groups playing all the notes all the time really fast. As I'm even more fond of the original Quasar on (Herbie/Mwandishi's) Crossings, I'm gonna give my vote to Cortex and their wonderful La Rue.

Didn't know any of these tracks but it was a good listen. I'm generally not that much interested in this kind of smooth jazz/fusion in the sense that I'm quickly loosing my attention and interest when listening to an album, e.g., but a track here and there is always enjoyable as are these four. The stand-out for me is Bennie Maupin's Quasar.

Two of the four are faves of mine and really are standouts in my music journey.

Cortex's Troupeau Bleu is an excellent album, and I really like your choice from it. I only discovered the album within the last few years, and here is a track that I have highlighted from it at PA before which is so very me.

That said, I could go with both, but I will go with Bennie Maupin's "Quasar", which is one of my favourite tracks (and one I have liked to mention quite a bit in the past). I adore it. I love a crescendo, and that has one of my very favourite crescendos in music. I do love the Crossings version too.

The other two I was not as familiar with (I do recall that California Woman) and I enjoyed listening to those.

It's become a favorite of mine, too. Tongue
