A informative new published book by Stefan Künzli just released about Swiss rock and progressive rock pioneers from Crocodile to Krokus to Hardy Hepp to Patrick Moraz (The first and only Swiss musician who made it to the top of the international pop and rock scene.).

Stefan Künzli first listened to rock, but then switched to jazz and blues. His interest in music history, the connections and developments were aroused at the University of Bern, where he studied history and ethnomusicology. Today the 59-year-old from Aargau is Head of Culture and Music Editor at CH Media. In his private life he plays the saxophone in various rock and blues bands.

«Swiss Rock Pioneers: A Search for Traces in the Rebellious Founding Years» by Stefan Künzli published by Zytglogge.

When you say progressive rock, does the book included jazz rock fusion? If so, any focus on Swiss drummer/percussionist Peter Giger, though more known in jazz circles, made some great jazz rock music in the seventies with "Dzyan".

Is there a good mention (as in lengthy) of the band Circus (from Basel/Bâle)?
(since the label Zytglogge reissued the vinyls recently)

I always thought Asbjornsesen short-handed Switzerland and Austria between Cosmic Dreams and Scented Garden

Of course Peter Giger is mentioned. There is a big portrait of Düde Dürst, the drummer of Krokodil. Also, there is a chapter of Circus.
