I've been a bit obsessed with these guys lately, I've only listened to three of their albums and I'm somewhat intrigued by the rest of their catalog. How obvious, I would like (if you dare) share some sentiments.
I personally love this group, and you?

I saw them live in San Francisco long ago in a small club, good band. I used to own one of their early records but I traded it. I bet it gets a big price these days. After the show I talked to the drummer about jazz drummers I thought he might like.

I have quite a few of their albums and I consider myself a pretty big fan. I’ve reviewed a few on this site in fact. My prized possession is a vinyl box set of Dante’s Disneyland Inferno, 3 LPs and a detailed booklet, both filled with grotesque insanity.
Pretty overwhelming discography. Which ones do you have (or have heard?)

Torch Of The Mystics and Horse Cock Phener were my introduction,It's funny that you mentioned the DDI since in fact last week I was listening to it (and I still don't know what to do with it ..... I think it's funny nonetheless.)
PS: my favorite is HCP and the worst of all is that I don't even know why XD

It’s not often I come across their albums, so when I do, I’ll buy it. And I have a bunch on mp3 now too, acquired through both legal and questionable means
Think I’ll go on Discogs and see what’s for sale there…

Oh ok. I wasn't sure since I never heard of them. I thought maybe they were like the Lemon Kittens.

The old reliable ..........
PS (again): I think HCP is my favorite because it is more ..... "crazy and silly" than heard from them (Cloaven Radio is my favorite song of them of course)

Do you remember what Charles Gocher was like? I'm sure he was a cool but weird guy ...

Ok, now I'm lost. Lol. You looked up the band the Lemon Kittens on google? Yes, that is cheating. Lol. We all cheat though. You can find them on youtube too. They are a bit experimental and have punkish elements kind of like sun city girls(who I haven't listened to much yet). You might like Pere Ubu also.

I haven't explored Sun City Girls as much as I'd like, though I do have and rate fairly highly Torch of the Mystics. It doesn't help that most of their stuff is OOP and difficult / expensive to buy.
I have some solo albums of Richard Bishop, SCG guitarist, that are mainly him on acoustic guitar and some piano. He's a mesmerising guitarist, also fully self-taught I believe. Fingering the Devil is a good one. An interesting character: as well as a musician I understand he's an occultist and dealer in rare occult books. When I say occultist I mean that he's a practising sorceror who, from what I've read, obtains magical power from an entity he knows as Kali.
------------- Soldato of the Pan Head Mafia. We'll make you an offer you can't listen to. http://bandcamp.com/jpillbox" rel="nofollow - Bandcamp Profile

I had no idea about the latter (I mean, I knew Rick Bishop was strange but I didn't think so hehe). As I understand it, the cassettes are considered anthological relics by the little mass reproduction (or more or less I think it was like that), I personally have only listened to your material in MP3 (Bandcamp, YouTube and other sites) mainly because of my lack of financial resources (but let's face it ..... who wants to realize that ...)
