Third and last RAC for this week is for 2011, a very very good year for many, including me (in terms of musical releases, of course) with a plethora of interesting albums. Pick your preferred one and tell us which it is.

Mine is 'Grace for Drowning' by Wilson, surprisingly. LOL

So much good stuff in there, that I surprise myself for going for Lulu - but I really do like that album. (The only Metallica album I’ve ever owned.)

I've got no 'opeth of voting in this poll as I don't know any of the albums. Embarrassed

Based on what you like, I would think there is a good chance you might enjoy the Opeth, Wilson and Beardfish albums. You should try one, and see what you think!

I'm a big fan of Comm so I've gone for that, with Heritage in second place.

I refrained from asking why is it even in the poll, it's one of the most disliked, even hated albums and in this case, unfortunately I agree.

I like Steven Wilson's albums with Porcupine Tree, so there's probably a good chance you're right about me liking his solo albums too. Thumbs Up

I think it was Cristi who said I probably wouldn't like Opeth, although there's always 'ope-that I might like them. Smile

I think you just DID ask why it's even in the poll in a roundabout way. Tongue

there is no escaping you. Ouch
I was referring to the death metal Opeth that is definitely not for you.
But the prog-rock Opeth, yes, there is a chance you might enjoy it, albums like Damnation, Heritage, Sorceress, Pale Communion and  In Cauda Venenum.

I think Cristi meant refrained from asking why it is in the poll, until this point. That’s how I read it anyway. I don’t think Cristi would have queried it, if I had not voted for it. But it just goes to show that even if an album is the “most disliked, even hated album”, it doesn’t mean everyone hates it. I love Lulu. Top ten Lou Reed for me, probably.

We all like different things. And what is horrid to some is great to others.

Don't know a band named A Scarcity of Miracles, but I suppose you are referring to the Jakszyk, Fripp & Collins album, which will get my vote, because for me it is the only interesting (and good) one on this list...

Great Opeth album here. Scarcity of Miracles is also good and the Wilson album better than what came later.

There are three Opeth songs I don't like and they're all from Heritage, which also has some absolute homeruns. Gotta vote visions but under any other circumstance Opeth would get my vote 99% of the time.

That's as good a reason as any, despite what anyone else might think of the album. Smile

Me, too! Your inclusion of this rather good Lou Reed album inspired me to do a http://www.ProgArchives.Com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=125586" rel="nofollow - latter years Lou Reed poll . Unfortunately, while I voted for Lulu in your poll, I voted for Magic and Loss in my own.

Phideaux narrowly over The Tangent. Beardfish would be my third choice.
