Thanks. Listen to the clip, I'd posit that Gill was influential on Fripp & Belew. Fripp's chosen bassist for his own band, League of Gentlemen, was the remarkable Sara Lee, who was a bandmate of Andy Gill's in Gang of Four. Therefore, he must have studied their music.
