Super dank passage starts at 7:04

Holy f**k this entire passage is insane for live play. I've heard of all the great prog keyboardists. Why haven't I ever heard of this guy?

I don't know why you never heard of him,but what I do know is that he was classicly trained got a gig with with Frank Zappa and is quoted "FZ music is the most complicated music he has ever played" paraphrasing of course check out his his first 2 or 3 solo albums and the one he did Jean Luc Ponty good stuff there much to like.

Yes, George (RIP) was amazing, and I don't know, because his isn't an obscure name. Check out his early solo albums, especially The 1976 Solo Keyboard Album (he plays everything on it, incl. drums) and Faces in Reflection.

Ah yes, Inca Roads off the Dub Room Special. I have that DVD and the Videotape before that, lots and lots of viewing pleasure. I only have one of his solo albums, Liberated Fantasies. I have it on record rather than CD, so I haven't played it in quite some time. I can't remember it well. I know him mainly through Zappa and the MOI, and his talent displayed with the Mothers is just plain obvious.   According to Wikipedia he has 32 studio albums, not bad! Here's a live vid I enjoyed:

He has some nice insightful interviews. Here are a few:
