Recently it is becoming more and more frequent that CD albums come with a video DVD, sometimes as standard, sometimes as a Bonus, sometimes only as part of some special edition.

But these are not listed in the DVD category in the discography.

So if I want to find great Prog DVDs, unless I pay attention to the releases and / or reviews, I will miss all of these.

A couple of examples:

IQ - Frequency Special Edition (comes with DVD Live in Zoetermeer 2007)

Beardfish - Mammoth Special Edition (comes with DVD Live at the Boerderij + Making of Mammoth)

Rush - 2112 40th Anniversary Edition (comes with DVD Live at Capitol Theater 1976 + Q&A)

I understand that listing those also in the DVD category would imply a duplication, but it's a pity missing them altogether because nowhere do we see the DVD (unless we happen to check the details of the album).

Some of these could even get rating for the included DVD, imagine in some extreme case that the DVD might be a clear 5 stars DVD. With the current system it would not appear at all in the list of Top X Prog DVDs, which is a shame.

Until some years ago such albums with included DVD were very few but the number is growing so it would be nice to have them somehow in record as DVDs.

Tthough can't see an easy realistic way to accomodate these details directly in the DB without creating (as you pointed) undesirable duplications...

Maybe a chat room could be created for this sole purpose, where we would include/update threads for each band releases

OR

A list included as footnote at the end of the band's BIO referencing these special bundle editions
