In Italy,
PFM will start a turneé next spring to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the historic concert together Fabrizio De Andrč.
Here the albums: Fabrizio De Andrč and PFM in concerto, vol. I and II

In that concert, the Lombard band has given a rock arrangement, sometimes prog-rock, to the melodic folk songs of Fabrizio De Andrč, considered, together with Francesco Guccini (both born in 1940 and friends), the father of Italian singer-songwriters. The operation of 40 years ago gave fame both to PFM and to De Andrč. In fact, PFM after the successes of the early seventies was soon forgotten in Italy, and De Andrč in the late seventies had entered a creative stasis, and was isolating himself from the musical world. After that concert together, De Andrč gave his masterpieces in the eighties, starting with "Creuza de Ma" (who innovated Italian music by introducing the dialect and traditional folk instruments: it is an album of ethnic music), where Mauro Pagani wrote most of the music and arrangements.
PFM after that live record had a moment of fame in the late seventies, early eighties, then returned to be forgotten.

In the next concerts, there will be Flavio Premoli.

It's not the first time that PFM play De Andrč songs:

Here PFM play "ll Testamento di Tito" (Tito's Testament), the last song of that mitic concert.
